Profile
I joined the Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (previously at King’s College London) in February 2022 as a post-doctoral research associate in behavioural science. My background is in psychobiology and public health research. I did my PhD on the care experiences and supportive care needs of young adults with cancer. I also conducted similar work focusing on the development and use of patient-reported outcomes in cancer research and routine care and is currently the Publications Editor of the EORTC Quality of Life Group.
I moved from the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust where I was a trial manager in a new team implementing a system for digitally collecting patient-reported outcomes in clinical trials.
My research now focuses on using behavioural science to understand and encourage participation in cancer prevention clinical trials and the acceptability and psychological impact of new cancer screening programmes.

• Understanding the psychological impact and acceptability of new screening tests and programmes, for example in relation to a new at-home urine testing kit for bladder cancer and the new capsule sponge test for oesophageal cancer
• Understanding barriers and facilitators to uptake of new screening tests and programmes
• Exploring the use of patient-reported outcomes to assess relevant psychological concepts
• Understanding and improving the inclusivity of population-based cancer screening trials
